LaTonya Neely is a servant who contributes the acceptance of her call to the teachings and upbringing received through the foundation laid thereof. In the legacy of her paternal grandfather, she thrives in the duty of sharing the word of encouragement and motivation. She has served in many capacities as an inspirational speaker and wellness advocate for her community.
LaTonya believes that service first should be unto God and reflective of one’s true identity. Acknowledging that it is the spirit of love and respect that is ultimately in control, she seeks, daily, a renewed willingness to live with honor.
LaTonya serves her community in the capacities of Legislative Services Coordinator, adjunct faculty, advocate for children and families, kinship care consultant, and board member for several organizations.
Her husband and she are the proud parents of two children and maintain a garden that feeds neighbors for free. LaTonya enjoys traveling with family, classic movies, music, dancing, and cooking.
LaTonya has chosen to live by this mantra, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” –Mahatma Gandhi
We're Here To Help
We strive to build healthier families who are not receiving the care they deserve or need. Our services are focused on programs that provide support and healing groups (teaching skills on how to address stress and foster open communication without judgment), fitness, and stress-relieving exercises for mothers. We provide access to clean, healthy nutritious foods and educate the entire family on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle that supports themselves and their babies.
Wellness Choice supports holistic health and encourages eating habits that align with black moms and their lifestyles. We teach and share with families that their zip code should not limit them from receiving nourishing foods. We offer the following monthly tips for working moms in impoverished areas:
Allow us to help you build a closer family bond centered on wellness.
Together, let's end food deserts, promote mental health, and build strong bodies and self-love for all people.
With the basic principles of faith, our goal is to empower and educate our clients, neighbors, family, friends, teachers, and co-workers. We promote wellness for the mind, body and the spirit!
Our Wellness Choice team includes massage therapists and para-professionals who specialize in providing support and materials on a wide range of health-related topics relative to an overall healthy lifestyle for all ages.
What you eat each day affects your health and how you feel now and in the future. Good nutrition plays a major role in helping you lead a healthy lifestyle. When combined with physical activity, your diet can help you reach and maintain a healthy weight and reduce your risk of chronic conditions such as diabetes or heart disease, and promote overall health and wellbeing.
When it comes to your body and your health, the benefits of massage are wide-reaching. Whether you’re an athlete, an expectant mother, or a post-operative patient, massage can help relieve stress, decrease muscle tension and stimulates the release of endorphins that work as your body’s natural pain killer.
Other health benefits of massage include:
Increased joint flexibility and range of motion
Decreased joint pain due to arthritis
Enhanced immune system by promoting movement of lymph fluids
Improved the health and nourishment of the skin (also reduces scar tissue and stretch marks)
Decreased blood pressure
Reduction in depression and anxiety
Reduced muscle spasms, cramping and fatigue
Better recovery from workouts and sporting events for athletes
